What is WCAG 2.2 AA Compliance?

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) were developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). W3C is an organization responsible for setting international web standards. Accessibility Labs follows WCAG 2.2, the latest version published in December 2024.

Level AA is the most commonly adopted standard worldwide. It focuses on essential usability improvements that support legal compliance and enhance the user experience.

Note: A VPAT is required when working with federal agencies. Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act requires WCAG 2.0 AA compliance, which is included within WCAG 2.2 AA.
